John began his career with the national accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, LLP in 1987. He and Steve started Coffey & Rader, CPAs in 1997, and have been serving clients in Las Vegas for the last 20 years.

John graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors and his Masters of Accountancy in taxation in 1987.  He has been actively involved in assisting taxpayers and business owners succeed in their endeavors and minimize their tax liabilities as opportunities arise.

John specializes in individual & business taxation.  Most of his work focuses on closely held pass-through entities such as LLCs or S-Corporations so that individuals can maximize their tax benefits and reduce their risk as shareholders or LLC members.  John is experienced with all forms of business entities including C-Corporations, Not-for-Profit Corporations, and partnerships.

John knows his clients and is very involved in their most important work efforts. At the core, John’s accounting and tax expertise coupled with his desire to assist his client’s achieve success in their business and life’s goals, sets him apart.  

Steven is managing partner of Coffey & Rader, CPA’s, aboutique firm providing accounting, tax preparation and consulting services toindividuals and small business. Steve graduated from Brigham Young Universityin 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He began his professionalcareer with Arthur Anderson & Co. He is also involved with various otherbusiness interests, including a part ownership in the oldest operating machineshop in Nevada.  Steve recently served onthe advisory board of City National Bank, and previously served for seven yearson the board of Business Bank of Nevada. He has been actively involved in anumber of civic and community endeavors, including the Alzheimer’s Associationof NV, the Clark County Pro Bono Association and The Boy Scouts of America. Inhis free time he enjoys woodworking and spending time with his grandkids.

Jake joined Coffey & Rader in 2016. He began his careerat Eide Bailly before starting work with his father, John Rader. In addition tohis BS in Accounting and being a CPA, Jake is also a Certified DivorceFinancial Analyst (CDFA) where he has a focus on helping clients and/or theirlawyers in understanding how financial decisions they make today, will impact theclient’s future.  Jake has vastexperience in personal income tax and small business tax preparation,accounting services, budgeting, and small business administration. In addition to his CPA work, Jake is also the president ofRader Wealth Management. RWM is a Fee-Only, non-commission based firm thatoffers financial planning, investment management, debt management, andretirement plan consulting for his clients. Being both a CPA and an InvestmentAdvisor Representative means that we always have your tax situation in mind. Atax strategy that includes tax loss harvesting, tax grouping, and complex Rothconversions could have a significant impact on both the short- and long-termtax horizons.His off-the-job interests include traveling to new andexciting places, VGK and the now Las Vegas Raiders, and spending time withloved ones.

Patrick graduated from Brigham Young University’s MarriottSchool of Business (nationally ranked Top 5) in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degreein Accounting.  Out of college, he spent5+ years working in Irvine, CA for Big 4 firm Ernst & Young, LLP, as wellas one of the largest local CPA firms in Orange County, Wertz & Company,LLP.  During that time, he became alicensed CPA in the State of California, and gained valuable experience workingclosely with individuals and their privately-held small businesses to minimizetheir taxes.  In 2018, Patrick moved backto his hometown of Las Vegas to join Coffey & Rader, CPAs, the firm that hewatched his father help grow for over 30 years. Since moving back to Las Vegas, Patrick has enjoyed reestablishing hisconnections with the locals in and out of the office, as his passions includecycling, mountain biking, and golf. Patrick is married to his wife, Hillary, and they recently welcomedtheir first child, Taeya, to their family in June 2019.  They are both enjoying every minute they canwith the excitement that comes with being new parents.

Natalie has been the Office Manager for Coffey & Rader,CPAs since 2005. She ensures the daily operations run smoothly. In addition,she manages ongoing bookkeeping and payroll for several clients. She is agraduate of University of Utah in Sociology. Natalie enjoys spending time withher family, hiking, and interior design.
